The church was packed for the Christmas Eve Candlelight Carol Service and Christmas Day Service. The orchestra played beautifully on Christmas Eve, and the descant in "O Come all ye Faithful" on Christmas Day raised the roof!

A concert by Christian singer songwriter Garth Hewitt was held at nearby Beckminster Methodist Church, also part of the Wolverhampton circuit, on 21 November 2008.
The Anniversary weekend 11th and 12th October went extremely well with the services and "Bring-and-Share" lunch on the Sunday. The night before, a packed hall saw the successful concert "That's Showbiz". The cubs and scouts, dressed up as urchins, opened the show with vocal selections. Many other musical items followed including piano, flute, horn and singing items. We were also treated to rock-and-roll dancing, poems, puppets, a rock band and an almost surreal display of juggling of illuminated items in the dark!
The deadline for the Autumn edition of Triangle, our magazine, has now passed and a copy is available for download from the Resources page.
The new audiovisual system has been installed and will help to project words for hymns and songs during services and activities. We also have a portable hearing loop system available for use in meetings away from the church.
28 September is Back to Church Sunday, an opportunity to invite back people who have stopped coming to church, for whatever reason. Preparations are in full sway for this, as well as the Anniversary Weekend in October, including our concert — "That's Showbiz" on 11 October (7pm) and services and Anniversary Sunday Lunch the day after. Admission for the concert will be £1 for adults and 50p for children, on the door. Refreshments will be available. Items include music, songs, puppets, poetry and juggling—an entertaining evening of variety is promised! Come along and enjoy the show. Proceeds will go to the Development Fund.
The Springdale Art Group, which meets at the church on Thursdays, held its Second Annual Exhibition and sale of work from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday 28th June.
The church anniversary falls on Sunday 12 October this year, and will be marked with a special Anniversary Sunday Lunch. On the Saturday evening before there will be an Anniversary Concert—"That's Showbiz ". Details will be confirmed later. We are also looking forward to Back to Church Sunday, on September 28, 2008, an initiative of the Anglican and Methodist Churches to invite those who have lost touch with church for whatever reason to come back to church.
